Should I buy this FMU?

so i found this Vortech FMU on eBay, just wanted to double check with you guys that is is legit and is what i need for my 420A turbo. I bought an off brand one before and got totally ripped off and just don't want it to happen again. thanks!

There is really no information on that listing about that FMU. Personally, if i were going to purchase something fuel related that has been used then i would definitely contact the seller to make sure it has no leaks and see how much it was used. I bought a brand new Blox 12:1 fmu for $80 bucks, and its holding up just fine. when it comes to fuel components i'd prefer new over used, especially when the price difference isn't that drastic.

btw, after looking at the pictures that looks exactly like my blox fmu. I'd make sure the seller can verify that it is, in fact, a vortech. And the second picture looks like that bracket has seen a little heat, in my opinion.

Aah, ok thanks. Yea i see a bunch of BLOX FMU's on there, i have never heard of that brand tho so i thought they were off brand... but if you are satisfied with it i probably would to . Do they hook up the same as a Vortech, as in the inlet, outlet, Vac line?

Yeah Vortech never made a purple FMU...that thing saw some HOT temps. I'd be scared to see what the diaphragm looks like.

Eli, I paid $70 shipped for a new 12:1 Vortech fmu, guys go through these things like crazy. Keep searching craigslist if you want to score a deal. Otherwise if you can wait til spring I'll sell you mine

alright thanks , i don't think i can wait till spring tho... i need to have this car running again so i can drive it to a basshunter concert soon
