That's what I'm talking about!

Good luck with everything 98Turbo420a. What are those camshafts profile like, very turbo-friendly or just bareable? Are you going to remove the motor yourself? I hear the rev-limiter can be raised to 7800rpm without much trouble, you going to bring it beyond that with those head parts?

Accually these are some wicked cams to be honest, I can't wait to get them, i may raise the rev limiter but i won't be taching out, i'll still shift around 6500. Accually I am building another motor outside the car at this point. The head is being ported and polished and is getting a 3 angel valve job, the intake is being ported and polished (matched), i've got a 60mm TB that's being bored to 70mm, the only thing I have left to do that will cause me some down time is the exhaust manifold, portmatch, but that's it, this car will be wicked i jsut know it!

That's too cool for me. You can truly use the extra rev's of the powerband those head parts bring you from 60+mph rolls where you won't lose much traction :) I hope your low-end power isn't too aggressive or wheelhop will become a very serious problem for you, unless you have a gear-regulated EBC (AVC-R).

The portmatch shouldn't be too long if you're already doing all of this. Hope you have a trusty machinist for all of this work!

Hope to see some videos of your car in the future, after the rebuild!

Naw i accually don't drag the car to often, although I have been known to play stoplight to stoplight! I'm accually running off the wastegate, it's safer that way!

Yeah, never fully trust a boost controller solenoid that's for damn sure.

You thinking of stand-alone any time soon with all these mods? Or are you staying on the piggyback train? You must be the quickest (besides the Hahn RS one of course) 420a-Eclipse after these mods :thumb:

why would you raise the rev limiter if you plan on shifting at 6500?

Because I can.........if I ever wanted to shift that high I can if i raise it. I won't because I'm not into beating the hell out of my car, however, if the need does arise, IE viper wants to race, then it's on!

Yeah e-manage won't do it and neither will the DFI without a crank trigger and all that. Well 98 I want to see this thing when your done brother. Are you going standalone now or is that a down the road thing? Which system do you plan on using? How close to a cheap dyno are you?

Well cheap and my car don't mix. I always go overboard (ie the best parts around). However, I will let you know when it's done. I should be dynoing sometime in August at the Southeast DSM Meet. Then we shall see what kind of numbers I can pull!

Thru who did you purchase all your bottom and top end of the engine??? I want JE Pistons though and Eagle Rods thanks for any comment or help take care and we all want to see your car when finished.

I don't know who he orderd from but you can call Howell automotive for the bottom or top end kit. You can also call Motofool, and VT engines. As for 98 turbo420a, I believe he had some real problems with the car because I remember he was trying to sell it a while back.
