Anyways. the car is still drivable, mind you a rough idle and hard to keep running on a cold start. Im looking into buying a nice few hundred dollar beater. Then a short block, then machine work then X-mas can deliver my internals. So this unfortunately is going to take a hell of a lot longer than what I wanted.

My sypathy goes out to everyone that is blown up and has been blown up.

Oh believe man, my car has either been sitting in my drive way awaiting a motor, or sitting in a shop awaiting some new part after It broke after I got my car out the shop, or just waiting to be tuned, and fine tune things.

It seriously feels like I haven't had my car since June, and I'm about to buy a lil carolla to have some fun in while I'm waiting. I think I'll end up keeping it just so I always have a relaible car too.

Longest, consecutive downtime in Daisy's life = 7 months. Labor Day 04 through April Fools Day 05. That sucked.

And now I'm working on picking up either a GVR4 or a GSX - both of which have popped engines in them. Scary to think I'm fixing up a DSM to use as a daily when the 2GNT goes down. :D

I think i found a beater 1993 DSM AWD auto ROFL
how much.
I'm looking for a AWD, TSI or Eclipse for like under 2g's, but I'm still skeptical about it running right, so I might go with nissan honda or toyota for my daily beater. I'll get an AWD DSM some other time.

Ok well Im glad I didn't get the beater.

The PVC system has a leak. I checked the hose on the valve cover and put my finger on the end of the hose and the car stayed running without any signs of sputtering or shutting off. So I have a leak, too dark to see anything but look tomorow. I saw that xmasta had a similar problem but he actually fried rings. My car doesn't really have a rough idle the more I think about it and it drives fine even under boost. Its running perfect a/f It was wideband tuned and runs a tad rich until I do the SAFC hack with map sensor.

Are u running an oil catch can? I did for a lilttle, and some of the hoses were melting and caused a big vaccume leak, from a system that was already drawing too much vac. Took it off for now, and going to replace the funny colored hoses greddy provided in the first place with just some plain black ones.

I just found a mint shortbock for $40 rebuilt

Cha-Ching

I might not need one anymore but saves me money on building

still trying to find someone that has one. :thumb:

I know for sure by Friday a buddy of mine that lives a bit down the road will bring his.
