Iv'e been running 16 PSI on my daily drive for 40k miles. It is now at 130k miles and it still feels strong. I am guessing with 2g pistons you can safely run 18 or so with a non stock fuel pump/fmic.

First off, why did you take off the 14b? It is a much better turbo than a T25. If you have NT pistons in there, don't run anything more than 5-8 psi TOPS. Those NT pistons don't like detonation and will go fast. If you are putting in the 2G turbo pistons, you should be able to run atleast stock boost levels....10-12 psi as long as you have the fuel upgrades for it such as the turbo ecu, 450 injectors, blah, blah , blah....I am sure you know wha you need.....IF NOT, the SEARCH option will be your best friend.

the 14b turbo from a 1g is bigger than the t25 you just put on...

i believe typically 2g guys would be upgrading with a 14b...

and 1g's would be downgrading to the t25...

you should put the 14b back on...

If you are on stock fuel system and have no way of monitoring knock (i.e. datalogger) then I highly suggest keeping the stock boost level (around 12-13 max). When you get a logger then you can raise it safely. :thumb:

my bad, didnt notiuce he was on a nt. Yeah, you need a new ecu, injectors, and some other goodies. I am guessing you put on second gen turbo pistons (which are fairly better then the 1g). There is a lot to do before ityou run decent boost levels. If I am not mistaken, wouldnt it be better to run a t25 with his setup for now. Less spool up means he can carry boost form like 2.7k-6k (the turbo will die out.....)

ok i changed my mind im gunna build a turbo motor but for now, i have a non turbo motor wit 9-1 compresion, how much boost can i run without blowing my motor for atleast 1 year

well i have the 14b turbo, new ecu, wire harness, intercooler, and all that good stuff,
