kelowna,
i was curious what u guys think i should use for a fuel system? i know there is the greddy emanage or there is the megasquirt or hahns 8 injector setup!i already have the super afc 2. i was woundering what is easiest for install and tunning wise for our cars thank you

Are you staying NA or going turbo?

I've got the SAFC2 and so far so good with tuning. (But I'm running low boost)
Also good for nitrous I hear.

I've heard good things about the E-mange, and Megasquirt.

Porterfuler I hear is overpriced for what your getting, but I've still seen it a lot of high horsepower applications.

well you gotta ask yourself a few questions and tell us the answers. what are your plans? what are your goals? do you plan to stay NT or are you going to go turbo? how long before you go turbo if you plan to?

if you plan to stay NA, id cross the megasquirt off the list, and i pray to god you werent actually thinking of the 8 injector set-up... ROFL honestly if you plan to stay NA and already have a s-afc then you dont need anything else, everything else would really be overkill unless you plan to build an all out NA monster which i dont think you are planning to do.

if you plan to go turbo, i would go MSnS all the way. its not easy to install or tune, but its your best choice.

tell us what you plan to do. and what your power goals are

i am currently building a fully built motor with the star satge 2 turbo kit, i was talkin to a guy this weekend at a car show in b.c,vancouver (may14th)that as pretty much the same stuff as me for internals and what not, and he is running 28lb of boost at just over 500hp. so i want to do at least that, and he is running the greddy emanage with the afc 2 with 550cc injectors says he doesnt get lean at all and works great! :) thanks

what internals would these be? 28 psi and 500hp is a lot and hard to believe... on 550cc injectors? unless that is on 8 injectors, impossible. according to my math he would need at least 660cc just to have enough fuel to make that power, and i would go with a little bigger to give room for tuning. as for running e-manage with a s-afc 2? Bullshit. emanage will do the same thing that the s-afc does. this guy is bullshitting you

500hp is a steep goal that will require a lot of money

i seen the dyno sheet and seen the emanage hooked up,this car is the craziest 420a eclipse i have ever seen
so what your sayin is to even get close to that hp i need the 8 injector setup forsure
does anyone know how it is for tuning?

no no no thats not what i was saying at all. i was saying that 500cc injectors were not big enough to make 500hp, and that you would need bigger ones or have 8 injectors to get enough fuel

so what was the reasoning for having the e-manage, AND the s-afc? im still calling BS on this one

Actually that could very well be possible. I've seen this guys car at tunerbash (like everyone else) and at Axiom motorsports in Lakewood. His car is sick, and very well could be pushing those numbers.....(hey keith this is the 420a that patrick built.) If ya'll want to know more, visit teamoutlandish.net and click on his ride. It has everything that is listed on his car.

And he does have the emange and SAFC hooked up together.

Its possible that he is making that power, IMO not possible on that size injector.

explain to me why he has both the emanage and the s-afc hooked up together? i can understand if he just has the s-afc in for looks, but having both functioning is pointless.

i look at there website but was getting a head ache... the correct word is "our", not "are"... OUR

Yeah I guess it would be pointless, but then again he's got a lot of stuff on that car that would be pointless. (Tv's in the door panell so when the lambo doors go up you can watch fromt the other side of the car)
(Tv that is attached to the hatch so that when you lift up the hatch you can watch from behind, but when its closed its sits infront of the rear part of the hatch.....this is actually pretty cool looking)

But I guess that is what you get when you invest over $140 000 in an RS eclipse....trying have a 4g63 guy telling him to sell his NT and buy a turbo... ROFL

$140,000!?!?!?!?!?! WTF

JESUS H. CHRIST he spent that much and only has a claimed 500hp to show for it... :toobad:

damn if i had that cash it would be a 2000 hp drag car!

I wanna know how much he has put in the motor..... i mean 500 horse? is he the only 420a with those kind of numbers? WTF

ya when i was standing there at the car show on the weekend looking at this thing i was in shock!!!! OMG just debating what i should go with for my fuel system, like if this guy isent lieing maybe i should go with the emanage i already have the super afc 2. does anyone know if the greddy emanage is easy to tune, comes with the software right just plug in a computer and giver??

if your going for such big power, go megasquirt all the way. the emanage is still a piggy back and other things it doesnt controll will still affect the way the car runs. MSnS is a full stand alone fuel and ignition control

cyrez187 said:
isent the hahn 8 injector porfueler kit better than the megasquirt?

no the portfueler is not better then the MSnS by far. the 8 injector set-up is ok but gives you no ignition controll. trust me, MSnS is the best way for you to go.

but its hard to tune? maybe ill try the greddy e manage. worked for that one guy and his car is crazy!but does anyone know a company or where i can get the megasquirt from and how much thanks

he could be using the s-afc to controle the e-manage
you don't need 8 inj to hit 500hp
I say you go full standalone

electromotive
F.A.S.T.
Haltek

obviously no body understood what i said. i didnt say you needed 8 injectors to reach 500hp, i said he would need 8 injectors if one set of the injectors was 500cc because he couldnt hit 500 hp on only 4 500cc injectors, he would need another set of whatever sized injectors.

as for the s-afc controlling the emanage, sorry but that doesnt make any sense. the emanage does the same thing the s-afc does except the emanage has more capabilities like some ignition control. but the emanage can controll fuel just liek the s-afc can
