420A Wastegate With No Spring?

Hey i have a Tial External wastegate ad when i bought it it only had a 12lb spring the guy said but i dont wanna run !2lbs bcuz my bottom end is still stock but neway he said he ran with no spring at all and he said he still got the B.O.V. and some boost is this true can i still get boost with no spring?

i don't know but a spring will cost less then 20 bones. check ebay and other tial dealers.

I took a spring out of ny friends tial 38mm

it is an 8psi spring

when we opened it there were two springs in there sandwhiched on top if eachother
we took one of them out and it droped the boost to 4psi

I don''t know if this will work on every tail BUT why would it not work there is nothing special about his. Open it up and see if there are two springs in there then take one out and see what happens it should lower your boost by half.

I took it out it is just 1 spring (red) wish it was 2
