i turbo'd at 135,000 and it worked for a week..... ha ha. i was driven' today on I20 and i heard a loud pop. i pulled over and my tb and some of my intake was covered in oil. where did it come from? any ideas? so it's time to call good oll' howell and get a rebuild kit.
i want to do the rebuild myself and had a few questions.
i know i have to buy the howell kit for the block but what do i do to the head??
do i just take it off get it and all the internals cleaned and checked out. then put it back togeeather?
about how much should it cost for me to get the block cleaned bored and crank balanced as well as the head cleaned and rebuildable?

uhhhhh I'm pretty sure thats not a good thing. If I were you I wouldnt be driving it with a flashing CEL............

I think what he's trying to say is...he had the same problem before, and it went away after he changed his valve cover gasket. If I totally misinterpreted that post, then please let me know, and I'll make sure to stay off of here from now on 


) hopefully that will solve your problems, or possibly something even easier and cheaper will be the culprit
