A/f gauge sensor wire

i am assuming you mean one of those with the red/yellow/red trees
if you are at idle or cruising
then it should move around constantly
it is only solid at wot that it is constant

i also tapped into the white wire with black stripe i believe its pin 72 or 73...
but anyways my gauge is just weird it doesnt even work properly (i think)
as apposed to the autometer one where it goes back and forth on idle
my gauge just stays at stoich most of the time and the lights seem to dance with my music

if you have a volt tester you can put it on the wire and have some one open the throttle. if the wire changes voltage during the pressing of the throttle than it should be the right wire.(i don't have a volt tester). but from what i read that is the right wire.

dave, might want to check your power source for your gauge. might have something to do with your problem.

installed my a/f gauge yesterday. I used the white wire w/blact stripe for the sensor wire. the gauge works but dances around alot did i tap the right wire?
Yup, that's what they do, and that's why they're useless.

Why.... did you think you needed one on an N/T?

putting my custom turbo kit on next week. the only reason i wanted one is because when i boost my motor i need to know if i running lean. lean=hot hot=boom!!!!!!!!!!!!

as defiant once said - all they are, are disco lights

Yes they usually go crazy but in my 420a it holds steady for a second or two spazes than holds... than does some more spazzing.

also air/guages are not 100% accurate since they read off fumes you need to go to a shop and really have it tuned correctly instead of tunning off a 02 sensor.

Lean = to much air to fuel---------Stoch = good-------------Rich = to much fuel to air
