AEM EMS ECU question?

In a word no. However I did hear that AEM is set to release a universal EMS. God save us. I saw it in a new mag. Go here

http://forum.aempower.com/bbs/index.php

and read it until your eyes bleed 0's and 1's, dont ask any questions. Just read. You will find everything you need to know by going over all the forums. Even if it isnt for your application, you can see what other people are trying to do. There is a steep learning curve attached to this thing. I have yet to grasp everything on there but hey it will help me out seeing what others stumbling blocks are. If they do end up coming out with a universal app, then have a professional tuner tune it for you. Not your homie down the street that helped you adjust your BISS. This thing is a serious peice of equipment. All the guys on the board love it and so do I. The only thing that is frustrating is not knowing how to control EVERYHING on the car. There is a lot of stuff that comes up repeatedly that could be avoided if people just spent the time to read. All the issues that I had with the EMS were solved by looking in previous posts. There is nothing better than being able to control every facet of your car. However there is nothing worse than blowing your motor because you didnt want to read. Good luck. :thumb:

Yes it will work, you just need a custom wiring harness..thus no longer plug and play

the aem ems will work, but you will have a fun, long, process of tracking down every where and splicing into it. its not plug and play and is a massive pain in the ass. search 2gnt.com for the same answers, this has been discussed before.

Just got off the phone with Gary at Howell and he thinks that the AEM EMS "plug and play" listed for the 420a might be an incorrect listing. He said the best bet would be to call AEM direct and ask if they offer a plug and play for the 420a. I'll call some people at AEM and see what I can find out. I'll also check back with Gary in a couple of days to find out too.
