Toronto,
Okay so I've been back on forth on this one for awhile, But I read the other post below and still had more questions?

I want to be able to kick the crap out of my friends Acura CL with a 100shot of nitrous. He ran a 14.1 at the track in the summer

When its all said and done I'd like to be in the neighborhood of 300hp to the wheels if possible.

So can someone help me out.

I want to turbo my 99 eclipse GS with either a HRC or Star kit, both stage 2. Which one will be better?

I thought I if I buy the HRC I could be running 8 or 9psi on stock internals?

But if I buy the STAR kit I could only run 5psi on stock internals?

My shop is telling me I should go with the star kit because they've had more products from them. But that they'd be willing to put on the HRC as well. Whats the difference between what they provide in the kits as well. What parts are better and whats not?

I like the idea that the star kit comes with a front mount intercooler in the price, but why is the HRC so much more expensive with the front mount added to the price.

I am going to be getting a front mount either way.

So the question is

HRC stage 2 turbo kit or STAR Stage 2 turbo kit?

But which one??????

I have a 96 eclipse gs.. And i have the same ? more or less. what one is better and why do you think so..the HRC or Star stage 2????

And what one put down the most HP to the wheels :dsm:

i have never tried the star
nor do i know anyone that has one
but on this forum the debate between the two goes on and on
personally
i like hahn
and not just because i have their stage 2
but their customer service is awesome
i have called and talked to Brad in sales often and once ended up talking with him for almost an hour just about my car what i have done to it and how i can make it better
from what i understand star's customer service is just the opposite

plenty of posts on the pros and cons of each

why not be different and put togeather your own kit. i have been kicking around the same ? as you and then i realized that all a turbo kit from hrc or dimond star is, is a bunch of different parts put togeather from a bunch of different manufactures. (excluding pipes) then they charge you a arm and a leg for it. Look at ebay and some other sources you will find that you can put togeather a much better quality turbo system for around $1400 and thats a stage 2!

btw that price does not includ what you get charged to the welding of your intercooler pipes (bov) and depending on the route you go your dp.
