if i was going to replace my pistons and rods and cams and all that anyways.. wouldnt it be in my best interest to just keep the 4g63 i have (30000 miles) and rebuild it with the parts i was going to use for a turbo engine anyways? that way i could pick out the turbo i want and the manifold i want and wont have to aorry about the extra parts laying around.. plus i think it would be harder to find a 4g63t with 30000 miles then to just rebuild mine.. any ideas?

As long as your machine shop does the work, I'd say this is a very smart idea.
