EVO VIII Engine swap?

Currently I own a 1992 Eagle talon non turbo...it's my project and has been for the last 2 years...currently i'm looking to perform an engine swap since i have 136,000 miles...My question for you is will a brand new mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII engine fit into my talon without major mods? also, what would i do about a tranny? the EVO VIII is awd...would it be as easy as bolting up the standard eclipse front wheel tranny or do i need to make the car awd...it would be nice to do the awd but i'm not sure cost effective.

It will fit........ if you have some major $$$. The 92 n/t is a 4g63 so you would be better off doing a regular turbo 4g63 swap(not from a evo 4-8). The tranny might fit but then it would face the wrong way, remember the evo 8 4g63 has its tranny on the driverside when ours is on the passengerside

I thought the Evo 8 had the new version of the 4g63???? can you still buy a NEW 4g63 turbo engine and if so where? and if i did find a engine that would fit with the tranny on the wrong side can that be accounted for in anyway?

Us none turbo dudes have the tranny on the driver side... hmm maybe it would fit in our cars !
