Just installed star turbo. have a few questions

I put in my star turbo kit and did a road test on it last night. Everything went well except the boost went up to 15 psi on my guage. I went back and took off the vaccum line to the top of the external wastegate. Now am I only running 5 psi which is better, do I need a manual boost controler?? . My other question is has anyone hooked up a nitrous kit to there turbo. I have a wet zex nitrous kit which I was running before. Also I have a S-afc that needs to be installed but I cannot find any wiring diagrams on DSM tuners to wire it up. I do have a chiltons manual but I am not trying to go that route if at all possible.

im not sure if you have your internals done, but if you want to boost and throw nitrious into your 420a, your gonna blow it. I suggest rebuilding the internals before you even think about throwin nitrious in the car :thumb:
 
I have the stock internals right now. I guess I will have to put off the nitrous for now. Unless I feel like blowin the motor up. I do have another question though. My check engine light is on due to the MAP sensor. I have that lil box installed correctly, is there anything else I can use??

Does anyone have a S-AFC hooked up to the 420a with a wiring diagram??? :thumb:

i just intalled my star perfomance turbo kit..but it didnt come with instructions can anyone tell which vacumm line goes on the wastegate...i see there are two fitting on the wastegate so i am assuming that two hoses go there
 
leave the top opening open on the wastegate. put a 90 degree fitting on the side port on the waste gate and attach the hose and run it to the turbo and attch it to the turbine housing on the side.

Yeah the fcd/black box (fuel cut defencer) sucks, you will keep having map problems with it. Get a missing link and your problems will be solved. Heres the link where you need to get it from.

i know this is kind of an old topic, but my star kit did not come with instructions either. it also came with an injection block and 2 extra injectors. these are controlled by an injection control unit and i dont know how to dial my car in. does anyone have the appropriate numbers that would help me to get the car close to dialed in correctly.

I don't think what you got was a Star kit, the Star kit comes with a walbro 255 and 12:1 vortech fmu.

I agree. Never heard of anything like that. Sounds a little bit like HRC's PortFueler, but not so much.

I've seen one or 2 other people asking about this kit. I guess it comes with a box by the tb with 2 extra injectors in it? I haven't yet figured out where they are getting it though.
