Okay so the time is coming for me to lay some money on the line and turn my car into an enjoyable machine. I plan on going with an engine rebuild with 8.6:1 pistons and the normal length rods. STAR stage two comes after that BUUUUUT heres my main two questions. When doing this engine rebuild, should I upgrade my head to a few more aggressive cams or leave it all alone? This thing has GOT to last a while. Also, if I get the engine rebuild Ill have to drive it without the turbo kit for a while... is this OK to do? If there is any tuning necessery at this point, somebody set me straight with some info. thanks!

upgradeing the head is up to u,some people do it and it help but is not needed...hrc uses stock heads and they run 11s and 10s.you can drive the car with just the built block but it wil be slower because of the pistons compresion(u will lose a lil hp but will gain it back when u go turbo).if i had to do my setup again i would do it all at one time...it would be less of a hassel and you could break everything in at one time.
