How hard and costly to do engine swap?

My Eclipse is a 1.8 SOHC. I am thinking of doing an engine swap since the body of my car is in perfect condition. How hard and how costly is it to put a 2.0 with turbo in? Or would I be better off trading my car in on one that already has the 2.0 with turbo?

how hard would depend on the availabilty of the new engine that you prefer and how much convertion would be neede to insatall the new engine...... compatibility is also an issue...

by the way whats the model number of your current engine.....

i did it and it wasnt hard for me to do or expensive. but my guages dont work and my turn signals dont work. if u can trade your car for a turbo'd 1 that be the best way to go, alot less problems. i didnt have the option to sell my car and buy 1 due to the rarity of them in my town. my problems started after i got the car running. blown head gasket now fixed, bad turbo not fixed yet. total cost for me to do all this was like 1k for the car and $600 for another car with the turbo engine and bout $500 for a flywheel, clutch kit, guages ecu, cams, mbc and bunch of odds and end stuff.

Ok, I have a running '92 eclipse. the body is in bad shape, but runs great. I just bought a '91 lazer, the body is in great shape, the moter is blown. The eclipse is a standard and the lazer is an automatic. Do you recomend to do the moter swap, transmission and conversion to the lazer, or the body part swap from the lazer to the eclipse? Wich is going to be easier on me?

i personally would swap the good body parts on the eclipse. i had a nice auto n/t talon i was thinking of swapping a turbo 5 speed in it and thought screw it ill put the turbo engine in the eclipse since its already a 5 speed. the eclipse wasnt 1/2 as nice looking as the talon but i wasnt going to do all that work.
