map sensor question

ive got a 96 eclipse and a 95 so dont think im going to run boost with 12.5 compression. but i just rebuilt the 96 and i have the star stage 2 kit and i know absolutely nothing about turbos except for how they work. what im wondering is does that 420a missing link does that thing hide the boost from the map sensor. and i found a 3 bar map sensor it doesnt say what car its for. its on ebay of course. but it says it can be hooked up to any car with fuel injection. Is that true? i want to run more boost than 10 psi so does anyone how to make that fish tank mod id heard about. I know it sounds funny but i was told it adjust the waste gaste as you turn up the boost. Please remember before i get flammed i know nothing about turbos.

congratulations on the turbo kit, it will be nothing but i nightmare from here on out for you. you definately need something to hide the positive manifold pressure from the map sensor. i personally tried the electronic switches that clamp the voltage on the sender wire to the sensor but found that there is MUCH better results from the missing link.

Could someone tell me how the car would react if the Map sensor was sensing boost. I have a missing link but i want to make sure it is working properly. it is odd because when my turbo spools sometimes the f/p goes down instead of rising. then other times it will rise and stay there or start to fall. Im thinking it is my regulator but i just want to make sure. I already replaced the fuel pump with a new walbro 255
