Closed loop vs. open loop mode

I'm a little confused on the difference between the two. Which is better to run the higher percent of the time?

I’m assuming your talking about MS?

Closed loop is best to run during part throttle through 100kpa; Turn off when in decel and in boost. Closed loop changes the speed density calcs to obtain the correct AFR. Open loop is without correction from “a” sensor.
