Hi everyone.. I am looking for some help if you can..
I put on a new intake, and My car has a VERY hard time starting.
When it does finally start.. It blows smoke, as if its running too rich.
I have Iridium plugs, and Performance plugs.
Has this happened to anyone?
Does the computer need to be reprogrammed?
I also have a UDP and some other bolt on stuff, but I cannot believe
how my car is behaving..
Any help or info would be appreciated!
Thx.

Do you have the MAF connected? That could be why. I'm no expert. But I'd check that first.

i didnt have to touch the maf when i installed my intake. you shouldnt have to either. disconnect negative battery cable to reset the computer and go from their.

nothing wrong with knoobs. the purpose of the site is too learn. we were once knoobs too.

What? your still a knoob LOL j/k. You said you didnt have to touch your maf either, but there is not a maf on the 2g nt's. About the intake though. I don't see why it would make your car idle worse or make it harder to start.

ok back on topic, i installed my intake a long ass time ago but i never had any of these problems with it, as stated above try disconnection the negative side of your battery for a little while to reset your ecu. try putting back on your stock intake and see if that fixes the problem, and let us know.
