2G-specific 98 GSeclipse spyder>2.4L

I just purchased a 98 eclipse spyderGs 2.4L,for $9k.Can anyone guide me in the right direction on adding as much hp.Without a turbo add-on.
Im first looking into buying a air intake, but i would like to know if a aftermarket intake for a non-turbo2.0 eclipse, work well. Can i install non-turbo engine parts,or will it give me less hp?
................ PLEASE HELP ..................

are you sure its a 2.4l ### unless the previous owner did the swap, you have a 2.0l. i wouldnt mind seeing some pics of your engine bay if it is in fact 2.4l

Spyder's have a 4G64 which is a 2.4L SOHC engine. Not a 2.0 420A.

No they are not interchangeable. There is not that much of an aftermarket selection for you.

hey good luck on finding parts because i own a 4g64 and i had to build my own intake using the mounting bracket for the maf to have it cold air. ill post directions in the NT forum for builiding the intake. i also have a centereforce clutch, short shifter, powertech exhaust. the exhaust you can get is any fwd turbo exhaust. but remember, when buying a full cat back exhaust to get the full power out of the exhaust you have to have headers and an intake. Headers ive never seen for my our cars. there is a company in australia that claims to make them, but whn i emailed them they said i had to do the head conversion, but then you could buy any headers you wanted. Good luck

Just buy a 3" filter, buy an adapter from Optauto.com, and get some piping bent a local muffler shop. Here is my ghetto set-up. I am in the process of getting parts for a DOHC head swap.

I still think the hybrid motor is the way to go. The block on the 4G64 is the same as the 4G63 (atleast thats what i've read). So if you put on a turbo head will all other needed parts, you got yourself a 2.4L 4G63T
