just a couple questions...i got a 95 (later body style eclipse) with 60,000 miles on it...i just picked it up for 3900...i've had it for a couple of months and both the tensioners on the timing belt snapped...anyhow...after i fix that (i already have the parts) i need to do some mods...so...

1.) for a cold air intake i wanna go with either aem or injen...i'm leading more towards injen...any suggestions?

2.) i heard from a couple people a bypass valve is a good idea for a cold air intake...i was talking to one kid online and he said he lost his motor cause his intake started sucking water on a rainy day...so is this a good idea?

3.) i wanna do a high flow cat...any company suggestions? i also need a good set of headers that don't cost 1000 dollars...you know what i mean? i need a good pair worth every penny that i pay for them...and as far as exhuast i was thinking a'pexi n1...i've found them on e-bay for 350 plus shipping...i can get the universal muffler for like 40-50 bucks...and i can probably get pipe made from cat back for like 200...that would save me 100 bucks...is that a good way to go or should i just go str8 cat back with the full a'pexi bolt on?

any feedback on those three questions would be greatly apreciated so i can start saving my bucks and put them to good use:thumb:

hey-

I suggest an AEM intake, just cuz ive had experience and i really love it. Although, i havent heard a bad thing about injen or aem. For the exhaust, i dont know much about customs, but ive had a greddy evo exhaust and loved it, just sold that and got an apexi dunk megaphone, we'll see how that works out. The N1 is a good exhaust, it sounds really racey, like an f1 car or something. For a header, im not sure where uve got ur prices but i dont think any header for an eclipse nt is gonna cost 1000 bux. I would go with the greddy header, my friend has them on his eclipse and they are real nice. For the highflo cat just get one on ebay....I got a real nice one on my car and if you need to contact me, I will give you the name of the seller that sold it to me, its a sweet one. One other mod that I have experience with and love is the AF/X underdrive pulley. This is probabaly the best mod I have done to my car, and it is highly recommended and praised by many of us 2GNT'ers on this site. Its only like 120 bux or something like that. I hope I helped, and if you have any questions just PM me. Thanx

Tim

yeah i wanna get an underdrive pulley...i was also looking at the unorthodox...my buddy has one on his 2.0 neon rt (almost the same motor set up) and he said he liked that one also...and i trust what he says cause he built a suziki side kick with a turbo charged rotary motor and air bags and shaved everything and this and that...it's sweet...anyhow if you wanna e-mail me that seller or i'll pm you sometime and get his name cause the exhaust and intake are where i definitley wanna start...and i know i can't get a header for 1000 dollars that was a joke ;)

get an injen cai, i have it on my car, well had and it was/is awesome. def get a udp, thats my next mod. good header can be the hp racing or pacesetter ones. you can buy the hp one on ebay and the pacesetter on www.planetperformance.com. for exhaust, if you are trying to save money, go with the custom route (ie, muffler with custom piping). but if money isnt too big of an option then get the full 2.5" catback from www.adventon.com i think its like 450 or so there. if you want real power then look into a turbo or nitrous. but if you want mild power and/or wanna stay all motor, then get a race ecu from af/x. its like 540 with the core charge and is supposed to give you like 15 or so to the wheels, supposedly. if you want a lot of good info for the 2gnt go to www.2gnt.com:dsm:

wow. sounds promising... so all it is is one gear that is replaced by a lighter one and it does that??? where is this located? by the name (underdrive pulley) it sounds like somewhere near the ground. the brand of choice seems to be af/x i hear?:dsm:
