How can I tell what engine i have??

I wanna kno what bolt engine is in my car. I kno my engine has been changed cuz today i went to change the oil and i ordered the oil filter for a 94 model and the filter was wayyy to small. so i ordered one for a 92 model and its the right one. so im just wondering what engine it is.. its a 2.0 NT but not sure if it is a 6 or 7...

Keep checking these post . I read one yesterday or the day before that someone asked the same question , and some one replied that there was a difference in the pan. hope this helps!!

Check out the VFAQ from Tom Stangl's page. It doesn't specify turbo or NA, but since they are both 4G63, I don't know that it matters.

in 1992 apparently there was an engine swap around may i think.. i had the same problem as you.. the bigger oil filter is for the engine that was made in the second half of the year and the small one for the first half.. be careful when you are filling your oil back up also becuz it took more than 2.0L to get me above the safety line when i changed my oil
