:dsm: i hear alot about advancing the timing and incuring a 13:1 fuel mixture but i don't know the specifics on it and was wondering if anyone had some info on what to put where?

You can't do this so don't even try it. The only way to play with your timing is with an aftermarket ign. or with cam gears. Resistor mods are dumb because your modern ECU will Learn the trick and compensate for it. Let me guess you saw this on e-bay right?

An aftermarket ignition and cam gears are not the only way to change timing!!! Since you have a 97 you can get the AF/X ECU from howellautomotive.com which advances timing among other things. It is supposed to give about 15-20WHP!! :thumb:

Good catch there I have forgotten about that mod because gary said there will never be one for my year. That is a good way to bump timing as well, but stay away from the E-bay crap mods like this. You couldn't even get to the ECU to attach a resistor.

whoaaaa 15-20whp??? You must be joking!
Does it really work?
Where can I get it and how much for that ?

I have a 97 Talon eSI (98 body), will it work on my car?

15-20WHP is no joke. It is sold through howellautomotive.com. They dyno tested it at 15whp and they hadnt even given it time to completly adjust to the car. The 15-20whp is for the street model. You can get the race only model which i think is like 25-40WHP but requires a bunch of stuff. It is sold for $500 with like a $150 refund if you send your original one back in, so like $350 or so. I actually think they raised the price to $390 but just check the website. :thumb:

Hey Thanks!
I will def. check this out!!!
I checked on the website, yea it's $390.00.. does this part replace my stock ECU?

Where is the race model?
Damn 40HP that's really no joke bro!!!!!
That would put me real close to the 200hp mark (My goal N/T)
you got AIM so we can talk more about this?
PM me man or something... I didnt have time to read the whole thing there at the website about the features of this AFX but I will later on tonite... I'm at work so... you figure LOL :(
