Hey,

My friends ECU went out, so ive been searching for a 1991 5spd 1.8L ECU. Everything that has came up has been real high in price, or just allitle off in specs. I need to know if i can get a 90 1.8L ECU in a 1991 1.8? I heard you have to switch 2 of the wires, or sumthing along that line, but if it is possible, let me know, i have found a 90 ECU for $65, if anyone reads this, and there willing to go lower on a 91 ECU, email me at [email protected], thanks in advance.

90 ecu must stick with 90 car.
91 - 94 ecu must stick to 91 - 94 car.
95 ecu to 95 car.
96 ecu to 96 car.
97 - 99 ecu to 97 - 99 car.

Manual must stick with manual and auto to auto.

http://www.tmo.com (it's somewhere in there)

I'm sure some people bastardized the properness of usage, but probably with problematic results.
