i need new tires.. i want performance but wanna know what is best all around.. for handling, performance and long lasting..
toyo?? dunlop?? kumho?? pirelli?
so much to choose from i'm just wondering what everyone else uses and what they think of them

My friend had good results out of Falken Ziex on her '90 GS. She used 225/50R16. Same tire in 225/60R14 on my MR2 was less than impressive, but they sure worked good on the Eclipse! They're pretty cheap too!

I am purchasing a set of Toyo T1-S 225/50ZR16 92W for my 92 TSI AWD. I have used the Toyo T1-S in the past (as well as many others) and they are the all-around best tires that I have used. Unfortunately, they are not cheap but I spare no expense when it comes to tires (just a personal thing I guess.)

I have Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45ZR-17 91Y. I love them, they work very well in both dry want wet weather but they suck in the snow. I had Yokohama AVS Sports but I really didn't like them as much as these Michelin's.

I had a set of those. They were z-rated and I loved them. They had an untimely death due to cambers problems though :(

If you are already considering it anyway then I'd say yes. I'm getting another set as soon as I get the money.

i had a set of the falken zieks and they gripped pretty good but i just got set up with a set of falken gr-b's, they grip as good on my car as my brothers proxy t1-s's on his crx. i like falkens but i have heard very few bad things about the kuhmos.

I have Kumho ecsta 17" tires on my wheels, they are great..
they stick pretty good on my take offs as well.. i know many people that use them and they all have great things to say about them.. if that is what you are thinking about getting i would go for it..

Sumitomo HTR Z 2 or something close to that

regardless of what the exact name is they are great they handle like a dream and corner like one too, good ride comfort... great package for $96 a tire off tire rack

the best ones i have had were the toyo proxes plus1, then the proxes fz4 and now falken ziex. I think for performance it goes just like the list does nut price does too, most expensive are also the most gripping.

I personally have Dunlop SP 5000's Asymetrics (awesome for dry, wet-on a fWD no less!) but I think they stopped making them(SP 9000's now)... They have 10K miles on them and still grip/look as good as new...my 2 cents.

hey that's the whole point of this thread.. to give your 2 cents on tires
my tires are bald i bought the car with a shitty pair of eagle somethin or others on them and never bothered to change them. you can so tell they just put them on so that the car would pass the safety. my visa comes in the mail next week so i'm gonna wait for that to buy tires rather than drain my bank account.. build up some credit buying car parts : )
i'm likin the kumho ecsta supra's alot.. but i wanna find something for about 85$ a tire canadian.. what can i get for that

i had nitto 450's - tread wear and connering was awsome in them. now i have kuhmo's seem to be a better rain tire then the 450's... don't handle in dry conditions quite as well in my opinion.

depends what you have most of a dry year or a wet one. down here we are mostly dry; almost in drout conditions before the rainy months come; then it rains 1 - 2 times a week every other week for like 2 1/2 months. so for me nittos hands down. after i burn up these kuhmos i going to try the parada's or nitto 555's not sure which yet, but thats jumping from the $80.00 $90.00 range to $110.00 to $125.00 range (per tire of course.)
