intake questions

should i just throw an injen short ram on, ill make a mod where it scoops air up to the filter. http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=INJIS1887P&vq_id=none thats a pic of it.
or should i just buy a k&n filter and thorw that on and not use the aircan, and do the air scoop mod to the air filter?

-what would be the benefits of either?

injen race division. nothign else

race division is not available for 1G's. short rams are the only ones available for 1G. if you want a cold air setup, u might have to customize.

yeah thanks, ive read up a lot, looks like ill go injen short ram and make some kinda air scoop from my front bumper behind my foglight (smaller custom ones) and make it to go the filter so its taking in some cool air and not hot engine air..

on my 2gnt my intake rubs against the battery holder poast thingy and is rubbing a hole. am is anybody else having this problem?

Pretty much every 420A with an intake has that problem. You can put a piece of something like a foam hose which fits snug over the battery holder. Or just take the holder off and strap it down with something else.

To fix that I just put a scrap little strip of metal around the intake. Then mounted it to the bolt that holds the battery in. My intake was also hitting the insulation of the wires to my ECU.

took not that long at all to make and keeps all hot air away from my air filter..... i noticed a bit of a gain wen i did this too.... cold air works wonders.
