i got a few questions for all of those runnin 4g63nt's runnin headers out there.
1.what header do you have
2.what other mods have you done
3.how long have you had it on for?
4.how is the quality?
5.is it 4-2-1 or 4-1?
and 6.overall rating... how do you like it and how was it for performance

Goat, didn't realise your cars mods were so close to my G/Fs...'cept I think she has a couple of mods on you :p

About the AFPR. I have it set at a base of 52psi.

4 I am not happy with the initial install (had the shop that put in my clutch install it) or the gasket quality (started to leak really bad)but after some modification to the down pipe and header-to-head surface it seems ok. Preformance wise is was good for the cash. I dont have a real good comparison since I didn't have the car running good untill after the header was on so I had no baseline.

I am wondering if anyone else had trouble with the mateing surface of the header to the head. I think I solved my problem. It had weld build up on the gasket surface which lead to the premature demise of the gasket. I ground off the weld (it was weled on both sides so I figured ginding was safe) on the gasket surface side so it was flat and installed a stock Fel-Pro manifold gasket which seems to be holding alot better. Probably due to the flat surface.

I do need to track down a new Header to downpipe gasket. I had to patch the original one together. The heat crystalized the gasket and now I should replace that one to.


I also cut the flex pipe out of my stock down pipe and spliced it into the pacesetter down pipe eliminating the joint between the header and cat. All one piece now. The flex pipe keeps the engine torque from straining the flange gaskets in the system. Since the flex pipe had the same inner diameter I felt it wouldn't deter the flow much.

Anyone have a set of turbo cams they want to part with cheap?
 
2g 4g63 n/t Euro spec

1 original Mitsu Header for Euro spec and it should fit the 1g.it only costs 168 Euros
many people here have bought this header and its a direkt bolt up to the 1g 4g63 .


heres an idea,get one of those mitsu headers and before u bolt it up,,just polish it (bling bling) and everyone would ask u "where did u get that thing"
 
well i ordered the pacesetter header a week ago and i'm hoping it shows up soon....i'm gonna port it (gasket match) and clean up any rough welds. i'll let everyone know how it went.

Do you have any pictures of the euro spec manifold..? I would like to see it.

geeeez,u guys are gonna make me have to buy a digital camera....maybe ill get one tommorow,any sugestions? does the brand really matter,Sony,HP,Canon,Casio,JVc,
can some one make a sugesstion(looking for a normal one,no super hi tech bling bling crap,just a rock solid affordadble Digi cam.):thumb:
