I dismantled my icm to clean it. I wondering, when screwing the plunger back in, do you screw it all the way in and back out a few turns or what? Or does it matter at all?

You shouldnt have taken the IAC apart to begin with, but you should try to put it back where it was at originally. The IAC will home itself when you turn the key anyways so you should be fine where ever you put it at.

It was just an afterthought as I have taken apart and cleaned a couple of them with no problems and on one of them it actually idled better.

I thought it might home itself but was just checking to make sure.

If you don't take things apart and see how they tick, you will never know...

But it does help if you have a backup part handy:D
