First fix the check engine light. The belts seem ok, but I personaly would tighten them just a bit more, not much though. And when you mess with the belts, I would suggest taking off your crank pulley and seeing if it is seperating. Change your oil and take a good look for metal flakes.

And next time label your wires, to avoid something bad.

Yea I would tighten those belts a little more. I forget what the specs are on them but the play I beleive should be no more then 1/4 of an inch or so.

Also did you replace all the timing belt components? I'm not sure on a 420a but that sounds a little like a bad timing belt tensioner pulley

Your belts do seem a bit a hair on the loose side. I'd tighten them a little more. The car runs, so the cam sensor is working; otherwise you'd get a no-start condition.

Hardstarts can be caused by a number of things; typically it is related it a weak battery or something electrical (like a bad ground), or a fuel issues, like a weak pump.

As far as the AC system goes, You'll want to block off those open lines. Oxygen in the system tends to corrode the aluminum and thus lead to leaks down the road. That's because when o2 reacts with 134A, its becomes corrosive. Just make sure when you get it back together that it is run through a vacuum for a good 15-20 mins.

If the sensor is good, then why is it throwing a code?
and yes i'm trying to hook up another compressor, but i need those bolts or at least their length and thread. Its the bolts that hold the lines on the comp
