parts needed for a 420a head gasket job?

ok about to change a blown head gasket on a friend's 420a.. does anyone here have a list of parts i will need to do the fix? thanks

Well if you are gonna do it, do it right IMO. So if I were you, I would replace the valve cover gasket along with the spark plug hole gaskets, and the half-moon cam cap on the left ( drivers side ) intake cam. If you do not take off the intake manifold then you dont need to replace those. If you do take off the intake manifold, try to take it off from the lower half of the manifold so that you only replace that gasket. Other than thay just the headgasket is all you need.

Just get the Upper Gasket Kit from the dealer and you'll have all you need unless while your ripping it that far down you wanna do the Timing belt and water pump too......

Do the timing belt and water pump now. no point in doing the work twice. Are you doing the labor Dave?
