### kinda tuning device are you tuning with? fuel pump?

Do you even have a DSM?
You have no car listed and no mods in your profile

i have a 96 eclipse 420a turbo with just the stock fuel pump and no tuneing device. sorry bout not listing anything

Come on now people, he has a 420a, not a 4g63.

3. Don't try to help if you don't know the answer - bad advice is often worse than no advice

You do not need an AFPR with a 255 on a 420a powered DSM. The Factory FPR will not overrun like it does on the 4g63 equipped cars.

SAFC's are next to useless when tuning in boost on a 420a.

He's losing performance because he is leaning out, not running to rich.

OP: Are you hitting fuel cut? If you are, install a ML/FCD, and you need something to control fuel for boost. Follow Ryan's advice and get a SFMU and some 450's. You MAY be able to get by with the 550's on a SFMU.

You can not just put a turbo on a non-turbo car and start boosting around, built bottom end or not. I would recommend you STOP BOOSTING until you have a proper fuel system in place, before you blow your motor if you haven't already done severe damage to it.

And I'm sure you could crank the boost up to 25 or even 30psi on stock injectors and pump. It would only be marginally more reckless than what you're already doing.

We've already told you what is wrong and what will happen if you continue to boost around on the factory fuel system. Why are you asking for help, then refusing our assistance?

im not refuseing just flooding my motor with gas damn 550's LOL. so i have to get rid of my 550cc for sum 450cc and either get a safc or a sfmu and tune it a little and i should be boosting safe and get more performance and be able to wot it with out loss of power.
what would be beter and cheaper to get a sfmu or a safc?
does anyone know the formula to figuring out cc?

Huh? You really need to improve your grammar and spelling a little to post on these forums. It's difficult to understand you if you type using broken-English and only occasional punctuation.

Cheaper? S-AFC. Better? SFMU... by far.

Do you mean the formula for converting lb/hr to cc/min? Multiply by 10.5.

[lb/hr] * 10.5 = [cc/min]

do i have to get a smfu or can i just get a fmu like how much beter is the super fuel management unit from the regular fmu?

Well if you want those larger injectors you'll need the SFMU. The 12:1 FMU is only for use with the stock injectors and stock FPR.

yeah i have researched about it a little im a noob when it comes to the fuel thing cause there are so many thing regulators, and pumps and different lph's and how much pressure you have to have its all so confusing. im just asking a bunch of questions so i can learn and inform myself befor i go spend every cent i have and it still not run right.

so what exactly does smfu do from what i c it just uses vacuume to regulate the fuel right or.....?

should i use 12:1 or 10:1 VelocitàPaola said that 12:1 are for stock injectors im doing 450cc now

Re read his post.

440's would be largest injector i would fit on a SFMU, I know at 30 and 22 psi (with no safc) I couldn't manage to get my car to idle because it was dumping too much fuel into the engine at idle. You could get away with a low fuel pressure (in the teens), but I wouldn't recommend it. I guess a SFMU is a lot better than your current set up. There is always an option for megasquirt to control your 550's if your up for the challenge.

We have told you numerous times what to get and you arent listening.

450cc injectors w/6AN return line, walbro 255hp fuel pump, vortech sfmu <----- this is what you NEED in order to run your 15psi with the 450cc injectors.

Why are you bring this back with no relative information to add? Would be better to post in the pits with a link to this thread so we don't waste 10 min of our lives reading to help someone that had a question 4 years ago. Just sayin.
