avenger rear disks

I know there have been lots of posts on the rear disk conversion, but i'm just wondering if a 2g disk conversion would be the same for the avenger as it would any other 2g DSM. I know alot of things are similar between other 2g DSM's and the avenger and would just like to know if GSX/GST rear disks would work on my avenger.

Yes the Avenger disk conversion would be the same as a 2GNT. I have some rear calipers of a 1996 TSi in the classified if you were looking for any!

I was under the impression that AWD rear discs wouldn't convert. But the front wheel drive turbo and N/T would work.

As far as I know the rear disc on an AWD are the same as the GS and GS-T
It's the FRONT brakes on the AWD that are bigger.

I'm intrigued by this as well but I thought you could swap all front calipers IE: RS, GS, GST, and GSX are compatible and I thought on the rear it was GS, and GST where compatible because the RS came with drums and i thought something was different on the GSX or am i thinking of suspension wise?

The 93-99 gsx had larger 2 piston calipers on the front. They are NOT the same as GS-T or GS/RS front breaks.....However they can be swapped as an upgrade.

The rear DISC brakes are all the same as far as I know.

The RS has drums in the rear but can be upgraded to the GS/GS-T/GSX rear disc.

So they are all compatible correct? I thought the rears had different part numbers than the GST and GS maybe I'm mistaken.

EDIT: Double checked seems the parts numbers are the same.

Yes, but if you want to put GSX 2piston calipers on the front of a RS/GS/GS-T you will need the AWD caliper, brackets and rotors.
If its the 1995 you might need a diffrent brake line. They had different type of fitting...but I'm not sure on that.

By bracket what do you mean? I was planning on buying a pair of GSX calipers and rotors and bolting them up to my RS.
