ok so i have the 420a engine 2.0 my question is how do u know how many bolts you have because in this site Wiseco Piston and Eagle Rod Combo (2.0/2.3/2.4) - Modern Automotive Performanceit has an option of 6 and 7 bolts mines a 96 eclipse base
and also do those pistons fit in both 420a engine and 4g63? and also im gonna bore out my engine .020 :dsm:

and also has anyone bought this kit? does it come with pistons rings and rod bearings?

I believe that these sets are for the 4g63 motor only (the motor that comes in factory turbocharged DSMs if you're unfamiliar). There are a few different sites that sell 420a specific parts, Howell Automotive is a pretty good company, I've ordered a few different items from them, but sometimes shipping times are rather long.

ok so i buy this kit 2.0 Performance Bottom end Kit - bottomendkit with 20 over bore which means .020 right? high volume oil pump because im going turbo route and on bearing size what size do i use? pistons 8:6 which is the lowest compression they got and rod bearing size standard right?:dsm:

I just recently bought a built motor off a guy from 2gnt (eclipse982nrRST) with this exact same rebuild kit that I'll be using in my upcoming turbo build. You're correct, bored over 20 would be .020. I am unsure about the bearing size, however. If I can find the answer I'll gladly post it when I get home, unless somebody else beats me to it.

If the crank doesn't need turned, you'd get standard sized bearings. Ideally, you'd give your motor to your engine builder prior to ordering parts. He will let you know what size bearings and pistons to get, depending on the level of machining required to get the block and crank freshened up.

As already mentioned this kit is for the 4g63 platform, however I'm pretty sure I can extend to you the same pricing for 420a components. Our kit does include rings as well as all necessary engine bearings.

If you end up getting a new crankshaft with your kit or if your existing crankshaft is in good enough shape then you would use standard size bearings as the crankshaft would not need to be machined. If your crankshaft needs to be turned then you would need oversized bearings. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to move forward or go over options in regards to compression ratio, thanks!
