ive noticed at some races i go to with my car that people have there laptops pluged into there cars, i think its called gata log programer. my friend has one for his gsx, i think thats what it is. he can adjust things in the motor from laptop, do 420as have this thing? if so were can i get one

Your friend probably has dsmlink. Which allows him to adjust the ECU. The 420a does not have anything like this. To be able to tune your car with a laptop you would need megasquirt, emanage, or something like that.

The other people are probably datalogging with their laptops. There is a website you can order the OBD2 cable from and software that allows you to do this. Cant remember the site right now. Search around some.

did anyone use this pocketlogger on a 420at? ive seen my cousin wit his 3g eclipse using it2 flash his ecu(make it into an Evo) so he gets 100% load sooner than ### his N/A does.. at least thats what he told me.. thxs

Plenty of 420a's are using PocketLOGGER.

Data loggers themselves don't change anything, they collect information, log data, if you will. You make some runs while recording various sensor information that you look over later and make tuning changes based on the results of the logged runs.

That said, some devices out there can datalog AND flash or otherwise tune the ECU. PocketLOGGER is just a logger, it changes nothing. As well, the 420a ECU cannot be flashed or programmed. See this 420a FAQ: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dsm...-get-my-ecu-reprogrammed-flashed-chipped.html
