Live an learn, I fount out. It seem to have lost some power when I did this. But I would like to know why it did.

Yeah...um...do you type with that smashed toe? Anyhoo, I thought I'd try out the airbox mod...but rather than cut a hole in it I just took it off. The aircleaner will almost attach to the backplate, a few sheets of paper towels rolled up and it locks in place fairly well. Boy is it loud! Sounds like a jet engine now. But power is lacking. I think all that extra hot air is hurting performance more than restricted cold air. Maybe if I cut a hole in the hood and made a shaker box out of fiberglass...

Any thoughts on breather filters? I'vve noticed a good amount of oil in my main air hose. Should I let the metered air pass on or should I leave it to recycle in the system? I've been thinking about an E-Ram kit, you know, the little electric supercharger that gives 1-3 PSI. Maybe the extra compression from that will compensate for the breather. Has anyone used this product sucessfully? I'll post a new thread about it in particular.

Hey now its not been any fun hopping around the last few days with this toe.
An yea spelling was my worst subject. I did have a K&N with one of those crome pipes from the auto place on my laser it look good but it did take alot of heat. An the oil I never had that problem before.Dont know anything about the E-Ram kit.
