Crate motor from Howell

I've been lookin at howell auto and readin about their crate motors. anyone bought one from howell? any good or bad advice for it? i'm thinking about just spending the money on it beccause their setup comes with balanced block, pistons and rods, fully ported head etc etc.

I have a Howell 2.2L stroker. I like it. Even tho Gary and everyone was polite with me through all the phone call check-ins, it still took a long while to get it done. Thats really the only thing that miffed me a tad with them. Other than that, I like the engine.

Yes, mine took I would say 4.5 - 5 months to have it completed. Kinda frustrating having to wait that long, but everything was done properly, and I had no issues with the engine. Hopefully that length of time is not the norm for them.

Howell is super sloow!

Keep an eye out on 2gnt.com classifieds for someone parting out there built 2gnt. you can usually find some really nice bottom and top ends for a third of what howell wants. Just an idea.

Yeah, and I guess thier prices are pretty decent... Cause I've looked up what it costs to peice things together by myself... even with my own parts distribution with Crower and JE and a few others... And I was looking at atleast double the price I'd be spending if I just wait and order from Howell.

??? I know I could buy everything seperately and it wouldn't cost me that much. And I don't even have the hook ups on anything...
