Hey guys,

Well Ive upgraded to the Vortech SFMU and Im having problems. Im running 310ccs and maxing at about 7-8PSI full boost.

Problems is my fuel pressure will not rise above 23 PSI no matter what happens vac or boost wise. Also I sit at a 20 idle vac. I have only tried to boost ONCE and freaked so no more of that until I get something to happen at idle. Anyways I have hooked up the fuel line running from the rail to the side port and the bottom goes to the tank, as did the old cartech I had. Ive got the 2nd to smallest disk and ring combo as well. Also I have the vac line on top with the inline reducer plugged into the tee off the vac hose running down the passenger side of the intake manifold. It was originally plugged but I pulled that off. NOTE I have tried other locations with no change.

I have the top screw about halfway in even though this screw only barely changes pressures, between 18-23 PSI. Does anyone have ANY ideas? I have attempted to adjust the other adjustments on the side as well only to return back the way they came. None of them made any differences.

Please please help if you can ... My car is almost undriveable now since even slight boost throws me just a tiny bit lean(as per datalogger) and thats enough to scare me ... so now Im cruising very low throttle and grandma pace to work ... driving it home tonight and tearing it apart again so input would be great before I do so ... thank you thank you ...

Peace

I'm interested in this too. Sorry I'm not much help to you, but I'm just learning the turbo world. Fuel is something I never got into when I was NA.

Well figured it out myself. I basically assumed it must be vac issue since I had fuel pressure going through just no rising pressure under boost/vac ... so I found out that the plug I was using that was teed off from the factory is not functional ... I will be attempting to make it so though since this plug is ideal for my setup. Good luck Snoopy if you do get the vortech, it is a really nice unit and now my car pulls through the entire gear not just between 3-6k like it used to. Feels great! Kicks you back and never lets go.

Highly recommend!

Low 14s here I come!

Kind of disappointed that NO ONE had any input on this topic but I got it working on my own ... so ... oh well ...

When I got it working I went ahead and slapped in the biggest disk and started there ... Now I have moved to the second largest disk and the car seems to time a little better ... just a tad bit lean right now but Im going to richen the idle until I hit the right spot ...

Thanks Green!
