4g63t Engine Swap

IM NEW TO THE DSM CROWD AND I HAVE A TALON ESI AND I WANT TO CONVERT IT TO A GS-T HOW HARD WILL IT BE TO SWAP THE ENGINE AND TRANS I HAVE THE PARTS AVALIABLE AND ALSO WILL A 1G ENGINE BE AS EASY TO FIT IN A 2G NON-TURBO.

1. Caps lock off.

2. It will cost around 5k or more for the swap whether you use a 1G turbo motor or 2G turbo motor. Very hard swap noone to my knowledge has done it.

if ur driving an esi talon, may be better of callin turbo engine tsi motor.. heheeh just my.02 cents i like being a jacka$$

hes saying calling it a GST engine is what an Eclipse owner would say since a turbo FWD eclipse is a GST, and since you drive a talon it's be a TSi.

5 grand seems to be a an accurate estimation. Better off getting a hahn turbo kit.

The parts cost me 3 grand so install is the hard part.right and my car is automatic so will the engine drop right in or will there bo tuns of modifications because Ive never heard of any one doing that and the parts are on the way to my house. will the tranny drop in or what will be the problems. and my bad a tsi engine Im new to the dsm crowd give me break I want to convert it to a gs-t the body aand all so if any one has any 2g eclipse front and rear bumper holla at me

in all honesty the swap really isnt worth it, you could put that 3 grand into your motor (turbo kit) and be a hell of a lot faster (read: lo 14's high 13's) than if you put the turbo motor in (lo 15's high 14's). You would need to motor, tranny, ecu, wiring harness, etc. Our engine bay isnt really structured like theirs is, Mitsu and Chrysler designed our cars for our engine and theirs for theirs. Its kind of hard to explain without showing you a pic, but you get the point
