ok today i had 2 people in my car plus my system and some junk and some girl in a 93 escort wanted to race me, ok fine i knew id smoke her. well she was an auto im 5spd. in first gear she had me by 1/2 cars length, but a 6800rpm shift into 2nds nad my car jerked quite hard and i got about a cars lengh on her and just left her behind from there without looking back.

ok heres my thing, my 1st gear seems to have little power most of the time. usually till 4k rpms till 6k it has power. 7k is a waste in first gear, since iam a bit faster with a 5000-5500k shift into second, then 6800k~ from there.

well is there any way to get some more power into first gear? like will headers or a gutted cat make a difference? i was also thinking of a 60mm TB but im not sure if it will fit on 1gb.

yea ur basic bolt ons might help you out, not sure of what will help you on the bottom end. the power band doesnt really hit in a n/t until around 3500-4000rpm, plus all that weight in your car is gonna kill it too, shed some weight, and a few bolt ons such as header, intake, fuel, things like that and it should help you out. Good luck!
