i have a 1994 eclipse 2.0 n/t, im not to sure where to look to see where your timing is and where you check it, i want to know that, and how you adjust it if its off, and what is the normal timing degree on a 2.0 n/t, sorry if this has been asked before i just hate searching through 40 pages to try to find it. Thanks!:dsm:

Base timing can be found using a timing gun. A basic ignition induction set-up on park plug wire #1 and some whiteout on your crankshaft pully knotch.

While the car is running point at the crankshaft pully and look at your timing belt cover. Wherever the knotch is lit up relative to the timing belt cover is where your ignition timing is set up.

To adjust, use your CAS. Base timing is in any shop manual. I think it's 5 degrees BTDC but I am probably wrong.

I belive that is not the whole story.. you need to ground something so the computer doesnt correct the timing on you.. i have not done it but its a connector on the firewall somewhere? can anyone give a good description?

Edit:: sorry im thinking on a turbo 2.0, if yours is a 2.0 should be same story i think.... turn the cam sensor to adjust timing... i cant belive this is considered a tunning forum and its so hard to find info on doing the ignition timing LOL.
