edmonton,
hey
i have a 1990 plymouth laser non turbo, automatic, i don't know if the engine is 1.8L or 2.0L. How do i tell.

Anyway, my main question, is what is the best way to make it go faster without breaking my wallet too bad.?? Also, is it true, if i race it, to start in drive2, when rpm's hit 6, go to drive1, and when rpm's hit 6, go to drive, and then when i run out of gears, hit the overdrive button?? i dunno, i'm scared to try this, but everyone says it makes the car faster? as u can tell i am new to the dsm scene, for i am only 16yrs old, so can anyone out there give me help?? thanks.

Well, to see what engine you have, just look at it. I think the 2.0 says 'DOHC' on it. If not, its the 1.8L.
As far as your other questions... The easiest mods are an intake and cat-back exhaust. And the gear thing, I would think that you would go 'D1', 'D2', then 'D'. Not sure if that even makes a differance, but you can try.
