Are 1g 2.0 N/T's and 1.8's using same DP -or- even if they are different diameters will a 1,8 dp bolt to a 4g63 n/t mani and come down under the car to meet up good with my existing pipes?

^
ANYBODY ???

well according to advance autoparts both the 1.8 and the 2.0 NA have the same downpipe.

Yeah but I'm not convinced with that LOL because people said the same thing when I was looking to buy a used starter and I wound up with 2 WRONG ones for crying out loud!!

well i tried to look up in CAPs for you but according to the part # they should be different. i know the dealer part number for the 1.8 is MB577625 and the 2.0 Na has a few part #s that come up but none are the same ast the 1.8. It also goes according to manufactured date of your car, but i'm still kind of getting use to understanding how to use CAPs becuz i just downloaded that program a few days ago. Anyways what happen to your downpipe.

Thanks for the help!

I got a guy on another board saying it is DEFINATELY the same part saying he did a swap himself so I kind of got to believe him UNLESS I buy it and go put it on and it don't bolt up -- doh!!

*UPDATE

Just put the 1.8 DP on and it's the same exact part on the outside and bolts right up BUT it contains a pipe within a pipe so the inner diameter is much smaller like 1-1/2" vs 2" on 2.0's. In my case I'm driving a 2.0 a/t and taking it easy so I don't mind it being smaller and since it creates more backpressure it might even be better for lower rpm/around town drving but if I had a 5-spd in good shape I definately would not this smaller pipe and I'm hoping it doesn't hurt my gas mileage.
