Toronto,Scarborough,
What are some 1/4 mile times you n/t guys are running I wanna hear some real #'s so i know what to expect when I go to the track.

thanks

Iv never had my n/t to the track, but I saw a 1.8 run a low 17 something with an intake/exhaust. So if you can drive and have a good reaction time, my guess would be in the 16s

I am hopeing to break into the 15's at least .

Does nobody run there n/t at the track LOL these cars are just as track worthy as any other n/t car

I've run mine against a buddy who ran in autocross with his stock car and got 2nd, and my car qualifies for stock class, and i beat him pretty well in a parking lot obstacle coarse, that he set up LOL, but i don't know what his time was at the autocross event.

A long time ago, before I got too extensive on my mods. I made a pass at 15.8 @ 89mph. This with a full stereo set-up in trunk along with my fat ass ROFL I am still hoping to get out this summer and make a couple runs if my project is complete and ready for the strip. Probably not though with my luck.

What kind of mods were you running with that 15.8 1/4 StreetSleeper34? and what does your new setup consist of? what do you plan on running with your new setup?

Mods then were nothing more than turbo cams, intake with GM MAFT, header, full exhaust work, short shifter, UDP's and cam gears...along with all the forged internals (except the crank) making 10:1 compression. Now I also added the forged crank, huge intake cam, 390cc injectors with FPR, and MSD DIS II for starters. I should have this project complete soon with results...then I plan on adding a water/alcohol injection kit and n2o. I will post my progress as I get there. Just look on my profile for the full list of things done. It might not all fit in the box.

I'm sorry TORONTOTALON, I don't expect to see you at Cayuga running better then a 16.5 at best. If you really want to, I'd look into nitrous injection.

Unfortunately for the n/ts, they are slow cars. Best thing you could do is go to the track and report back here. I'm just letting you know what to expect when you cross the finish line.

My car should have gone faster then it did for what money I put into it, but it was still a slug. Turbo and AWD came next.

Just hit Cayuga and let me know when, I'm always good to go. I love it there. :thumb: I could help you prep the car (tire pressure, ice pack the intake, etc)

16.0 @90mph mods headers, custom exhaust, turbo intake cam, ram air intake, removed some wieght, on 30k mile jdm engine I plan to get 50 shot of nitrous, then I will stop modding and get a new project :dsm:

good luck running low 15's.. my buds 2gnt with turbo couldnt break out of the high 15's here

Hallo I am from Latvia!
We don't have track where to race 1/4 mile
But I have Gtech Pro 2.0 and it showed me:
1/4 time 16,017s @ 86,49mph
1/8 time 10,371s @ 70,58mph
0-60 time 7,940s

If someone is interested in graphs, I can show them ;)

I agree,Unfortunatly thats just the way it is.I think the 1gnt's have an advantage over the 2gnt's,and that is a 4g63 engine. Not because it's better, just because you can "slap" on a turbo from a turbo dsm.Nitrous is a good option, and once you get tired of that, you can Boost and have both.just my .02

I just ran a 15.915 @ 85.14 MPH today. The Laser is bone stock mechanically except I removed the stock air box. Also I removed all interior and built a roll cage. The car was just for fun and to run in a FWD stock car class on a circle track.

Good greif, I didn't realize that our N/T were that slow. WTF And mine is an auto with only a K&N filter and pacesetter header w/ high flow cat....so I am muuuuch slower than a good portion of you guys. My contour can run a 1/4 mile stock in 15.9....but then again that thing has a loooooot more torque and horsepower than these cars.

I'm with this guy all the way.

I ran a 14.56 at import face off in my n/t talon. Of course that was with exhaust, intake, NX 50 shot.

But like stated above i'm bored with nitrous after just 1 bottle =/ Its a bi*** to turn the bottle on and make sure everything is perfect before you can spray. I want more power more often. So now i'm installing a turbo. Have pretty much everything installed just need to do some wiring and finish up a few things and i'll be running 6psi to start with. I'll work my way up from there. I have a complete 4g63t engine i'm getting ready. So i'm going to keep turning the boost up slowly and see if I can run pretty consistant at 14psi on N/T internals.

I think i'll blow it up before then, but we'll see.
