i want to know if i could swap out the 1.8 and put in a v6 or a stronger engine besides the 2.0 and the 2.0 turbo any ideas i would really like a v6

buy a car with a v6 in it. dont waste your time or money putting one in a laser

You can put just about any engine you have the time money and fabrication means to get. I have heard cases of people putting the V8's from the dodge ram into neons. But they had to modify and reinforce the engine compartment alot.
