the engine will fit, but you'll need to replace the ECU and most of the wiring harness among other things. the AWD system from a 1G AWD will not work, but you'll still need a new transmission.

the engine will NOT fit. a 2g n/t has a 420a engine. You would need to cut out and reweld all new engine mounts and spin everything around in the engine bay to get the engine to sit inside there. Its going to cost more to get a turbo engine to fit into the 2g and it would take more time to do then for you to get a part time/second job to help pay for a 2g turbo awd.

Exactly^^^^^^^^. The two motors are opposite of each outher, hence the engine bay and mounts are different.

Basically swapping a 4G63 MITSU engine into a 420a CHRYSLER bay is like swapping a SR20DET into my accord, 2 completely different engines.

That is correct, it can be done with lots of custom work and money. But in the long run it will not be worth it.

The engine will NOT fit. I've just recently tried to do the same thing,(Tsi engine into an Esi) but the frame is "backwards". You can do it but it will cost you. Its cheaper and easier to buy a 2g shell that came stock with a turbo for the conversion.
