I have scoured this forum and cannot find an answer. I arced out my alternator (stupid, I know, should have disconnected the battery cable) and blew the fusible link. Replaced that (100A) and not getting any fuel or spark. I have tried a different CAS, power transistor and tested the coil resistance. Thought it might be my ecu, put it in another car and that started right up. Tried spinning the CAS by hand and like I said, no fuel injectors pulsing, no spark. What is my next move? Like an idiot this is my DD, so I need help fast.

Start testing every possible sensor, starting with cam, crank. You may have caused severe damage to the wiring itself as well...just saying

Like others said - check EVERY fuse and fuseable link. Check your relays as well. Pull each fuse (and I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE) and confirm it's intact. If you pass that, do the same with EVERY relay. If you've got another car to test them in, do that. Else you'll need to try jumping the relay socket points with a wire and seeing if that does anything.

Past that, sensors, anti-theft (if applicable), and other control systems & wiring would start to come into play.

It seems as though I now have fuel, still no spark. I have replaced: coil, power transistor, and CAS. Visually inspected all fuses, not sure which relays would have an effect on spark, seems as though none of them relate.

A little more info. Six bolt swapped, dsmlink v3 full, 1g cas. The car ran before arcing out my alt. Everything, and I mean everything else seems to be working. Dsmlink works. :banghead:

Alternator would have nothing to do with spark, until the car is fired up. Your battery is whats responsible for providing the spark during turn over to get the motor running.

Again, check all your fuses inside and out with a light/fuse tester. Double check all your wiring and your grounds.

Unless GSX's are different from every other car, even after they start the alternator wouldn't effect spark. He could take the belt off the alternator and it would run until the battery didn't have enough power to continue (which could be several miles or more depending on whether he used any other electronics in the car).

Short answer is no, alternator has nothing to do with spark.

I didn't think so, but I am at a complete dead end here. The alternator isn't showing me any voltage across the terminals( with the ignition on) and I was just hoping that might be causing something. For the last week I have been checking fuses, relays, replaced the coil and the power transistor and still getting nothing...

And I did run the car with no belt when I was checking for oil leaks in my front case, prior to all of this, and I know you don't need it, but I was hoping something in that plug on the front might be ignition related...

Can you pop the clear caps on those fuses & make sure you have power?

FL1 is the 100 amp ALT fuse.
FL 2, 4 & 6 are related to ECU, MFI relay or igntion switch power.
Double check all of them.
If you have to steal a fuse from another besides those #'s posted above.
Should be the 1st image on yours? they have them backwards I think in my info....

That doesn't quite match my fuse block...

But I have quadruple checked all of these fuses and fusible links.

The blue one, upper left is the alternator fusible link that I had to replace.

Get a multi meter and pull each fuse one by one and check continuity between the sockets of the fuse itself. It might look good from the top but might have burnt out where you can't see it clearly. Google "how to check continuity with a multi meter" for instructions.

It is the top fuse box picture.
Here is the power distribution & engine performance wiring.
This should help you chase it down....
