Any 2g Eclipse owners around or in the Santa Ana area i could meet up with to compare things in my engine compartment so i can figure out where a few things go and if im missing anything since im very new to these cars.
i have a couple sensors that do not have plug wires connected to them and my vac lines dont all look like they are sitting in the correct spots. i have a couple other items that have plug wires to them that were just hiding on my fuel rail so i wire tied them up to they werent just shoved in there. Thanks

how close is close, i wouldnt want my car to fall apart on the way LOL
im by where all the highways intersect "orange crush" so the locals here call it.LOL

ive had it for 2 days now.haha
ive already fixed two codes on it and the previous owner mickey moused stuff on it, i even had to replace a spark plug wire that was chewed up from the timing gears ### it was sitting in between them and he was driving it that way haha!!! took out the ac delcos and put in some autolite copper 63 ### the ngks were out of stock.
cleaned the MAF
fixed spliced wires on engine along with bare wires.
even the radio had bare wires.
car feels like its running smooth now and doesnt sputter like it did.
this is why id like to hang out and see what a real eclipse looks like under the hood and for someone who knows what they are doing to take a peak.

i had P0300 and P0403
after i did some clean up and replaced spark plugs i cleared the codes and drove it awhile. so far no codes and no power loss or sputtering when i drive it. drove it around town and also highway for an hour and been driving here and there the past day now.

sounds good thanks, i will be needing some help. ill drop u a message with my contact info so we could meet up and u can tell me i bought a piece of crap.haha

how do i post pics on this thread? or do i add em to my profile?

The way i do it is:
1. send the picture to my email (i only use my phone to take pictures)
2. i get on my email and download the picture to my desktop
3. i go to the 'Additional Options' at the bottom of the reply page (when you're replying to the thread). It'll say "Upload/edit Photos" then you upload from your desktop. and yeah it should upload it.

The reason i want to see the bay is because i think that might be my old DSM LOL.

OH NICE!! I wish mine looked like that!! Maybe someday it will, haha. I'll post a pic up of my "Nasty" engine bay.

I've been driving around and ya, i hardly see other eclipse's besides bone stock mom and pop drivers. I see tons of Honda's around here. Blah!

I circled 3 thing's that I need information on. Left side there a sensor that doesnt have wires connected to. Top is connected but not mounted and was shoved down on the fuel rail and to the right, there's a wire that isn't connected and was hanging so I taped it up.

i really thought you had my old eclipse haha. can you zoom in a bit more. its a little hard to tell what wires you're talking about.

There should be a pipe of some sort going from the BOV outlet back to the intake snorkel in between your MAS and the turbo inlet. Looks like your snorkel is an aftermarket without the recirc option on it though so you would have to make a fitting of some sort attached to it (drilled and tapped or welded on) or just get a snorkel made to recirc.

So what is the purpose of it? What does it do without it since I wouldn't know how it should feel or react because this is my first turbo vehicle. Also thanks for your help.

Ok so this is what it says:

If you vent your BOV with the stock MAF and you have stalling or stumbling problems, we don't want to hear about it. You've been warned. The only forum you may ask about venting your BOV (if you don't have an MAFT or standalone) is the Newbie forum.

I have a stock MAF , so why would you tell me to do this? Am i missing something?

You have a stock MAF so you should not be venting your BOV, you dont have a MAFT or standalone.
