Check this out

I built this out of interest just to see what it would look like. I still need some clean polished tips for it but so far i think it turned out pretty good. I was aiming to get red of the rice can that always seems to be on these cars and get a more sports car look out of it. And a cool side effect is the droning is gone at 3k rpm right at high way crusing, the car becomes SILENT.

You might get crap from ppl but I like it. :D

It gives off an SRT4 look.

I kinda like it. Not for me but I must say it looks a lot cleaner than things I've seen before.

The idea its rice i agree, but i just dont want it to look like it. To dsm guys it will still look like rice because they know its pointless ;), But to people that dont know it could look factory, and i still have to angle the pipe/tips so it is flush with the bumper? I dunno at the very least i became a bit better of a welder haha.

I kinda like it. Notch the bumper over each, hang them a bit higher, and get two spiffy exhaust heat dohickymajiggers.

While we're on topic, anybody know if they make direct fit ''heat shields'' that are placed right above the exhaut tip and on the bumper? It looks like a metal plate or something and I guess it protects the bumper...

You mean the actual bumper under the cover? Becuase i did notch the cover but they almost hit the bumper.

I was gonna cut sheet metal in to a circle and punch out a 3 inch hole in the middle and then rivit it to the bumper like the vipers i think LOL that could be a heat shield

Sorry bout that...hard to tell from the pics if it was notched or not.

Yeah like that, has anybody done that with these cars?

As if our engine bays aren't tight enough.. ;)

No crap! although the longer I work on these the more and more room there seems to be but I think its due to me having my hands in there so often I just know where to stick themROFL

A+ If there was a way to make it look uber clean on the back bumper I'd be diggin' it 100% but I prefer a sleeper look and I have it dumped right before the rear axle so nothing comes out the back. I am a fan of this though good job! way to improve on your welding skills as well, practice never hurts

I like the idea from a noise reduction standpoint, two mufflers have to be quieter than one. Plus I don't think its all that rice because all the Honda Civics/Accords rocking a dual exhaust set-up usually have two big gaudy mufflers/tips. This looks really good with two small tips and not being able to see the canister hang down like a nut sack because there's no room under the car for the muffler. :applause:

Gotta work on that split point though its ####ing hideous. I'm sure it doesn't affect flow to much given the large volume and cross sectional area but :barf:.

I like it, good job in doing it yourself...its nice to see creativity every once in awhile. DSMs lately are almost turning into the evo community and are turning into more cookie cutter stuff. Again, goodjob man

i like it:thumb::thumb::thumb:
to bad the awd guys dont got the room LOL it be nice because i would totally do it.

and like mentioned before it does look like an srt but then again it is the mopar version of the eclipse LOL
