Time to get some more body work done. I took all the loose pieces of the car down and spent a Memorial Day weekend sanding my balls off.

Pieces parts painted, back to the car itself, that FMIC no longer has to take up precious room in my parents basement, it belongs on my car. 8Hrs of polishing and yours can look like that too.

Geez, I have been told by a local shop. That my DSM was the cleanest one they have seen in years. But it looks like crap next to what your building.

Could you answer the question I posted? (post 198) Just curious if it was due to room (lack there of) or what, because I thought pullers cooled better.

P.S. Thank you for wrapping your IC piping. Never understood why more people don't do this.

I don't like the sparkly oem coolant overflow bottle, I think you should make a custom chrome one.

Amazing work doc.... love the under carriage and the attention to detail! Can't wait to see the car up close in person. We need more DSM owners like this. Props, sir!

You should be a movie director because the suspense is driving me crazy? Post the rest of the story please! I wanna see what it looks like now I'm greedy.

Header wrap holds heat in, heat tape reflects heat. Think of the factory reflective shield under the stock hood. ;)

The idea is simple, if your engine bay temps are higher than your post turbo intake temps you want to do this to prevent the pipes working like a heat sink, in reverse. If your engine bay temps are 140* but your post turbo intake charged air is only 105* the pipes would be transferring heat into the air charge. It is debatable how much of a difference this really makes, but every little bit helps and shows he is trying to optimize his setup.

Time to start that front suspension don't want it looking bad. Tore it all apart front sub frame bushings are in so I don't have to do that. Started with the rack, did a manual conversion (I may be going back to power I am liking it less and less). The rack was immaculate where ever I got it from so the tie rod ends were actually good and I didn't have to replace them, but I did throw new OEM covers and bolts after I painted the rack.

RUPE. You are the ####ing man!!!!! Can't wait to see this thing in person buddy! Good job!

The stock front sway bar if adequate according to RRE, and I pretty much believe anything they say, so it was sandblasted, painted and put back where it is suppose to go.

Control arms blasted, painted, new ball joints, and all new OEM hardware. In the picture I had the pivoting bushing on backwards, I didn't pay attention when I took them off, and it didn't take me long to figure it out when trying to reinstall them.

Front wheel bearing, duhh of course they were replaced half the DSMs on the planet need them. Same treatment to the spindle as everything else, blasted and painted.

Megan racing front coilover pics. Again poor craftsmanship, there is a provision for the brake line bracket but it does not protrude far enough from the shock and the bracket is hitting the shock instead, you would have thought they at least put a set on a DSM before they sold them to the general public.
