Alright I've been reading alot in the last couple days and talking to friends about it, but some things I just come up with so so answers.

All I have so far is a Pioneer DEH-2300 deck I installed (22rms). The speakers I'm going to buy are going to be greater than 22rms, so how loud [I guess thats how to phrase it (Yeah probably noob termonology there)] will I get before I get distortion, or should I just plan to go with a 4 channel amp from the get go to power my speakers?

if you're going for louder than is safe for your ear, then yes - get the amp so it's at least clear. If you are just going for comfortable listening, the 22rms is realistically a lot of power to drive a decent speaker.

I would just get an amp, Ive put speakers on a stock deck then upgraded to an amp. The sound is a big difference like night and day. Just about any 4 channel amp would be getter then a hu amp. Really good deals on ebay. if your looking to upgrade speakers check out phoenix gold rsd65cs 70 bucks shipped very very good ratings and considered a best bang for your buck. or 60 if you dont use 6.5s

your cd player will only go so loud befor clipping just like a amp and both will actually clip befor you can hear them clip u need a oscilloscope to see it clip if your going for loud sound quality if you want your cd player amp and speakers to last at high volume

What about a 4 channel amp, power the back speakers, then bridge for a single 8" or 10" sub? I don't listen to rap.

Stockers are..

Front Door: 6-1/2"
Rear Deck: 6x9"

The 4-Channel is a good way to go, I went that route myself except I used channel 1 & 2 for the 5 1/2" infinity components that I installed in the front doors and I bridged channel 3 & 4 for the 10" sub in the back. I mainly listen to rock and I am very pleased with this setup.

It was a power acoustik amp that put 70w rms to each of the channels and 180w rms bridged to the sub. I didn't power the dash or rear speakers but if you want you could do what I did then install some new dash and rear speakers and power them with the head unit. Here is a pic of the sub box I used (which I'm selling btw to help raise $ for dsmlink):
