I was wodering if anyone has used one on the 420A. I found one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2412290757&category=6770. From my past expirence with V8's I know they are a good thing to used and gain some people 10-15 horse on a V8, but I have yet to hear anything about them for a four cylinder motor. I plan on replacing my rod bearing cause they went bad and I was wodering if this might be worth my money to put in while I'm there.

They supply a blue dye that you apply to the crank/rod ends and rotate the assembly. You then use either a dremel or an exacto knife to begin clearancing the teflon piece where the blue dye made contact. When you get it close, you bolt everything up and run the car which will actually cause the rotating assembly to bed in the teflon. Pieces of teflon will come off and most likely get caught in your oil filter. It was recommended to brake in for I think 50 miles or so then change the oil. I haven't received the piece yet nor the instructions, this is going from a conversation had well over a month ago and I forget the details. I'll post more when I know more.

Wow sound like an awesome idea and i understand the concept, so I say its a good investment! Mite have to get one after i drop my oil pan

I got one of these things, it's the "normal" one I suppose without the teflon. Had it sitting around for years actually, been to lazy to install it. Anyone ever seen dyno results for any engine of a before and after where the only thing changed was the scrapper?
